The Media Buying Director is responsible for the oversight, daily management, and optimization of the Digital Marketing Media Buyer Team and initiatives. This position will oversee reporting, workflow, strategy, and planning responsibilities for all media buying efforts of Strikepoint Media. We are learning heavily in the AI, ChatGPT, and the openAI revolution and see a massive opportunity for the Media Buying Director to help set up new processes and systems using these tools. 


Job Duties:

In addition to the general Media Buyer responsibilities, the role will include the following responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic insights, both high-level and tactical, into our media buying and marketing efforts for each channel

  • Train and ensure the media buying team is executing to a high standard

  • Review and Audit campaigns and ad platforms and strategies  

  • Oversee the day to day workflow of the Media Buyer Team

  • Looking for ways to use AI and new systems to make the team and company more efficient and effective 

  • Oversee the delegation of work among the Media Buyers on an ongoing basis

  • Oversee the establishment of processes and best practices for the media buying team

  • Oversee the documentation of all Media Buying processes

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the executive team

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and management of essential reporting

  • Facilitate deep collaboration and ensure effective and effective workflow among all departments working with the media buying team

  • Provide company-wide training and education where needed to ensure more effective collaboration and better results

  • Oversee the communication for the department across the company including in All-Hands team meetings

  • Jump into specific client conversations as needed to ensure we recommended and deploy the best strategies on behalf of our clients

General Media Buyer Responsibilities:

  • Pull and analyze campaign performance reports to inform daily optimizations and testing recommendations

  • Ensures that campaign KPIs and objectives are met both near and long term

  • Prepares research and insights to inform ongoing media recommendations

  • Manage budget allocations and bid parameters to deliver the most efficient results

  • Prepare daily and weekly campaign and client reporting

  • Communicate in real-time with marketing managers and account owners, about issues, opportunities or updates on campaigns

  • Ad build-out or management of ad build-outs - Landing page, static, and video content.

Compensation: 

  • Salary range $75,000-$150,00 DOE

Job requirements

The daily duties and responsibilities of a Media Buyer include:

  • Up-to-date and hands-on knowledge of all major platforms (ie Google, Facebook, Youtube, Native Channels, Email) and techniques for all Digital Media.

  • Ability to develop a deep knowledge of client’s industries, company culture, products/services

  • Proactive and effective communication internally and with clients on a very regular basis in a professional manner

  • Deep knowledge and experience in customer acquisition digital marketing, including Ad Creative, Funnels, CRO, Strategic Marketing Planning, Customer LTV and ROI modeling.
