Strikepoint Media is looking for a strong Creative Director to lead our Creative Services Divison and our team of designers and creatives. The right Creative Director will bring a mix of marketing expertise, enterprise-level eye for design principles, and business understanding to the position, promoting our company and that of our valued clients. We’re looking for an experienced manager of people, someone that can inspire others, taking our creative to a new level as we continue to grow. The ideal candidate will have a natural, highly skilled eye for great design and a drive to inspire dynamic ideas that connect with all types of audiences. This role is responsible for the overall quality of work produced by the creative department across all accounts.

The Creative Director uses their expertise and guidance to make sure creative team members work together like a well-oiled machine, consistently cranking out genius deliverables, meeting deadlines, and attracting work from desirable clients.

This position will be responsible for the following:

  • Build, lead, and review work of the creative team in the production of all web, print, video and digital marketing collateral

  • Spearhead and manage content strategy for both small-scale and large-scale projects, harnessing strategy, digital and brand design, compelling content, and technology

  • Overseeing the creative process from concept to completion

  • Translating marketing objectives into clear creative strategies

  • Help to develop internal branding campaigns and initiatives that translate into clear and motivating creative strategies

  • Ensuring visual communication and brand standards are met for our clients

  • Analyze brand tracking, market trends, consumer need, and the competitive landscape
    Inspiring the team to raise the bar and push creative boundaries

  • At a high level, overseeing profitability and budgets for the creative department

  • Meeting with clients to explain creative strategies and solutions

  • Building creative proposals that align with client objectives and that yield the highest value-return for our agency.

  • Review and approve art and copy developed by the team, ensuring deliverables that effectively address marketing goals and challenges

  • Remaining actively involved in hiring and training creative staff

  • Managing and cultivating the career development of creative team members, including designers, art directors, copywriters, photographers, and web developers

  • Provide Project Managers with detailed insights on which creative team members are best suited for which types of projects based on skill set, experience and desires/goals.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Digital Art & Design or Business

  • 7-10 years of design-related experience working with a creative marketing agency with with 5+ years of Creative Director-level position held in an agency or corporate setting

  • A combination of experience with brand and marketing design is highly desired.

  • Experience creating marketing/advertising campaigns from developing vision and the message platform to overseeing production on time and budget

  • Expert knowledge in: Sketch, Figma, Adobe CC Suite, Wordpress Themes.

  • Expert knowledge of website development best practices on process and execution.

  • Understanding and past experience creating integrated content across all marketing channels from digital, social media, paid media, mobile, but also understand offline and print

  • Proven experience with concept development

  • Highly skilled with leading a team of creative talent

  • Strong creative vision with an understanding of business objectives

  • Prior experience with copywriting, digital design, development and film production preferred
